Police are appealing for information after jewellery was stolen during a burglary in Southampton.

At some time between 1.30pm and 1.40pm on Monday, March 14, two men parked their car on the driveway of a house on Simon Way.

The men then got out of the vehicle and when the 61-year-old victim opened the front door, they pushed passed her and forced their way into her house.

Once inside, they stole around £500 in cash, and wedding rings worth £2000.

The men are described white, wearing black tops with the hoods up.  Both men had their faces covered.

PC Paul Rose, said: “I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward.  It appears these men knew what they were looking for, and have made off with cash and jewellery to the value of £2500.

“If you think you know who might have been responsible for this incident, or you saw anything suspicious in the area yesterday afternoon, please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Rose at Southampton police station by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
