award winning farm welcome new arrival during storm katie

Staff at the award-winning farm in Fetcham,Surrey are celebrating a new arrival despite battling against the elements.
As Storm Katie battered the stables at Bocketts Farm Park over the Easter weekend, nature stopped for nobody as a newborn donkey made its entrance into the world.
Of course, what other name could they give the latest addition other than ‘Storm’ and both mum and baby are doing well.
Hannah Farm Manager said, “We lost some stable roofing as the storm battered the yard but we were on hand to keep mum safe and cosy in her stable.”
It was certainly a busy time for the staff that night as Storm was not the only bundle of joy to arrive.
Hannah added, “We welcomed three sets of lambs in the lambing shed too but were forced to move some of them and the sheep into another barn in the early hours. We are thrilled to say that all new arrivals are dry and safe and doing well.”
