Police are appealing for information and dash cam footage following several reports of shots fired at a vehicle in Walnut Avenue in Southampton on Wed 13 June.

Officers received reports that an occupant of a blue Ford Focus shot at the windscreen of a silver Vauxhall Astra just before 8pm.

It was reported the Ford Focus then gave chase to the Vauxhall Astra at high speed out of Walnut Avenue, onto Wide Lane and then down the A27 towards Church Hill.

It is believed the cars overtook six vehicles on Church Hill.

No one was reported as injured.

We have been following up these reports to ascertain the exact circumstances of what occurred and we’ve had a positive response from those we have spoken to so far.

However it is important that we contact any other witnesses who may be able to assist us, especially the drivers of the vehicles overtaken by these two cars on Church Hill. Were you driving on the A27 between Wide Lane and Church Hill on Wednesday night and do you have dash cam footage?
