A man arrested at Heathrow airport on suspicion of terrorism offences has been charged.
Stefan Aristidou, 27 ), a British national, has been charged with seven counts of dissemination of terrorist publications, contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, 5 February.
Aristidou was arrested at Heathrow at approximately 18.10hrs on Wednesday, 3 February, by officers from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command.
He was arrested under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and was taken into custody at a south London police station where he was subsequently charged as above.
