Specialist animal rescue officers from Hampshire fire and Rescue service where called into rescue a donkey this morning in Sway, Hampshire.
The Donkey got stuck in a muddy field and had to be rescued when it started sinking in a bog.
Cookie’s owner called the fire service after failing to wrest him from the mud in a field near Sway, Hampshire.
Crews, including several animal rescue specialists, took an hour to pull the 25-year-old donkey out using straps and portable rescue platforms.
Cookie is said to be happy and uninjured following his ordeal and is now recovering.
