The RSCPA has confirmed that they have launched an investigation on the Isle of Wight Council are attempting to locate the owner of a chihuahua that was painted and abandoned on Pan Meadows in Newport earlier this week.
A concerned member of the public took the chihuahua to a vet in Carisbrooke on Monday after finding the animal on Pan Meadows.
Shockingly it has been revealed that the dog was found with shaven and painted fur. The member of the public made a report to the RSPCA who has confirmed that an investigation has been launched
The dog warden is currently in council kennels and efforts are now underway to locate its owner.
