A  major search involving  Hampshire Police and volunteers from WightSAR has been launched on the Isle of Wight this morning.

Officers are looking for a woman who has gone missing from a Little Canada PGL Adventure in Wootton on the Isle of Wight.

The woman is understood to have been missing for 48 hours. She has no phone or cash with her.


The woman is known as Rosie Johnson who comes from Glasgow was last seen at Little Canada Activity Centre in Wootton on the evening of Sunday, 23 June.


She has mousey brown hair and is of slim build. She was last seen wearing a dark blue puffa jacket and trousers, which you can see in the photo on the left.

Local residents have been shown a picture of the missing person who is understood to be from the mainland.

The National Police Air Service Helicopter is also assisting in the search and is currently conducting an aerial sweep of woodland between Fishbourne and Wootton and Ryde Rescue have also been tasked along with two of the Island Coastguard search and rescue teams from Needles and Bembridge
