Coastguard Rescue teams have been called to Yaverland beach on the Isle of Wight this evening.
A team from Bembridge and Ventnor have been called in by the UK coastguard. The incident involves a person who has been dragged out to sea. The person had been rushed to the hospital after being given CPR
5 Police cars, 2 ambulances, an ambulance officer and Coastguard officers from Bembridge and Ventnor responded to the incident shortly before 6.15pm. The man is understood to have had a heart attack in the water before being rescued by the lifeboat and treated at the scene by Paramedics from the Isle of Wight ambulance service
Buses are on divert due to the incident
