A34 closed following life changing collision

a34 closed in both directions in oxfordshire following serious collision

The A34 in Hampshire is closed southbound between the A303 (Bullington Cross) and the A272 (Worthy Down, near Winchester) due to a serious 2 vehicle collision. Hampshire Police are on scene and the road is likely to be closed throughout the night.

Motorists are being diverted and should follow the black diamond symbol. Exit at Bullington Cross and take A303 eastbound. Continue to join M3 at J8. Head north to J7 and exit, circulate roundabout and rejoin M3 south. Remain on M3 south to J9.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police said that they are appealing for witnesses or driver who may have dash cam footage to contact them. The spokesperson went on to say that the A34 southbound is likely to remain closed through the night.

The collision, which involved a car and an HGV, took place on the southbound carriageway approximately half a mile from Sutton Scotney services.
