Man fighting for his life after nightclub attack in Bexleyheath

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Bexleyheath.

Officers were called to the Broadway, Bexleyheath at 1.34am on Sunday, 1 December.

It had been reported that a man had been assaulted near a nightclub.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 28-year-old-man with a serious head injury.

He has been taken to a south London hospital where his condition is described as critical; his family have been informed.

A 26-year-old-man was arrested close to the scene on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody at a south London police station.
