Newgate Lane in Fareham Hampshire has been closed following a three vehicle Road traffic collision this morning.
Emergency services rushed to scene near to the junction of Longfield Avenue just after 9am this morning.
The Incident is involving three vehicle. A Mercedes Sprinter van and Vauxhall Zafria People Carrier and a Large goods vehicle carried wood.
Two Fire crews from Hampshire Fire and rescue stationed at Fareham are working to free the driver of a Vauxhall Zafria using specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle. The driver has been placed on a spinal board and taken away by land ambulance her injuries are thought to be serious.
A woman who was sat at the bus stop when the incident unfolded near to Longfield Avenue said” That the Mercedes Sprinter van came over the hill on the wrong side of the road and collided with a the silver people carrier.
It all happen in slow motion. The Van than went on to collided with a flat bed lorry. The driver looked like he was having some sort of medical episode.
Officers from Hampshire Road Policing and specialist collision scene investigators have closed the road and it is likely to remain closed for a number of hours whilst the investigation is carried out.[tubentertain vid=”RoCdhOAa5Ow” autoplay=”0″]

UPDATED: 1157 The road has been reopended to traffic
