M25 Dartford closed after HGV collision

M25/A282 now closed between J2 and J1a towards the Dartford Tunnels. Lorry crashed into barriers. Reports the driver may have suffered a medical emergency.


The A282/M25 in Kent is currently closed between J2 and J1A due to a collision. The emergency services are on scene attending to those involved. Delays on the approach to the closure are severe. This closure will severely impact journey times for those intending to use the Dartford Crossing. Any traffic that is intending to travel to the north are advise to use the M25 clockwise where possible. 

Diversions are in place for those who still require to travel anti-clockwise/northbound via the Dartford Crossing. The route will be signed by the hollow square diversion symbol, the route guidance is as follows:
From M25 Junction 2 exit slip road to roundabout “Darenth Interchange”, take 2nd exit onto A282 and then at next roundabout M25 Junction 1B “Princes Road Interchange” take 3rd exit onto A296 towards Bean and Bluewater. At A296 / B255 roundabout take 2nd exit B255 towards Greenhithe. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit towards B255 Greenhithe and continue along B255 past Bluewater. At A226 / B255 roundabout take 2nd exit onto A206 towards Dartford Crossing. At “Littlebrook Interchange” first roundabout take 3rd exit towards Dartford Crossing. Cross over A282 (M25) and take 1st exit at second roundabout to rejoin M25 at Junction 1A towards Dartford Crossing.

For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and you may wish to re-route or delay your journey.
