Police are at the scene of a serious collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian in Oxlow Lane, Dagenham. Emergency services were called at just after 3.15pm Road closures are in place.
Driver are being asked to avoid the area whilst emergency services work to free the person.
Road closures are likely to be in place for sometime whilst an investigation is carried out.
