Hampshire has seen flash flooding today after heavy rain swept through the area including Alresford and Winchester.
Drivers were faced with backlogs of traffic and some roads being closed due to safety concerns. Visibility being very poor at the height of the afternoons downpour.
The fire service were called to an incident in Alresford due to flooding whilst Winchester town centre had it’s fair share of flooding with shop doors over one feet deep in water
Winchester City Council were out trying to unblock the drains with vast area’s of localised flooding presenting it’s own problems for access to carry out the works.
