Man rushed to hospital after early morning attack in Gillingham

Witnesses are sought after a man was found injured in Gillingham.


Kent Police was called at 5.59am on 12 October 2020 to a report a man had been found unconscious in Canterbury Street.


Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the man was taken to a local hospital with head injuries, not reported to be life threatening. He has since been released.


The incident is believed to have happened at around 3am and as part of enquiries a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been bailed until 4 November pending further enquiries.


Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information which can assist their enquiries.
