At around 12.15am on Wednesday 14 October 2020, a suspicious vehicle failed to stop when requested to do so by police. It is reported to have then travelled down Blue Bell Hill in the wrong direction. The car was found abandoned near Rochester Road and enquiries later established it had been reported stolen.

Patrols carried out a search of nearby areas, which was assisted by Police Dog Cliff. At around 1am, PD Cliff successfully tracked two people believed to have been in the car who were located in a field.

The suspects, aged 17 and 19 from Abbey Wood, London were arrested on suspicion of offences including theft, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police. Both are currently bailed, pending further enquiries.
