Two people have been charged following warrants carried out in Sheffield and Manchester, as part of an investigation into drug supply and exploitation.
Last Thursday (22 October), officers from Operation Fortify executed warrants in both cities, supported by our Armed Crime Team, the Regional Organised Crime Unit and the NCA (National Crime Agency).
Two people were arrested and have since been charged with multiple offences.
Rebecca Fielding, 22, and Harry Bishop, 21, both of Julian Way, Sheffield, have been charged with modern day slavery offences, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of cannabis.
Fielding has also been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
The pair appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 24 October. Fielding was bailed, while Bishop was remanded into custody until the next court date.
Operation Fortify is South Yorkshire Police’s dedicated operation to tackle serious organised crime across the force area and beyond.
