police close road following serious traffic collision

Part of the A32 in Soberton Heath has been closed off by police this afternoon following a serious Road Traffic Incident.

Both directions of A32 between Budden’s Lane and Cott Street have been closed off by emergency services. Police and Ambulance Personnel are dealing with  two  riders who are believed to have hit head on.  The incident happened just before 5pm today.

The Thames Valley Air Ambulance flew in and landed in a nearby field to treat one of  the rider who was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries.

The collision happened outside Pump House Auctions  on the A32.  A second man was treated and the scene and taken to hospital with leg injuries.

The Road was closed for two hours whilst a recovery and clean up operation took place.
