Police have  this afternoon  closed the Eastbound carriageway of the M27 near Ower following a  two vehicle Collision.

Fire crews from Redbridge,Cosham,Eastleigh and  St Mary’s rushed to the  scene. Crews  made the vehicle scene safe.   The driver of the overturned vehicle was not trapped and has been  left in the care of the Police and South central ambulance service.


The collision happened on the M27 eastbound just after  the on slip of junction 2 just before 2pm.

Traffic delays are building following the incident as the on slip traffic and the three lanes of the  carriageway  were closed to assist with recovery of the vehicle.

Anyone with information or who witness the collision  is asked to contact Hampshire Roads  policing on 101.

UPDATE:  All lanes have now been reopened as vehicles have now been move  to the hard shoulder
