Police have issued an efit image of a man we would like to speak to in relation to a house burglary that took place in West End, Southampton.

It took place at around 2.15pm on Tuesday, July 12, at an address in Old School Gardens.

A couple in their 60s disturbed an unknown man in their house. He ran away through their back garden, taking with him items of jewellery, including earrings and gold rings.

Officers have now released an efit image of the man they would like to speak to about this burglary.

The man is described as being:

-Aged in his late 20s/early 30s
-6ft 1ins tall
-Of slim build
-With dark, flat, straight and unwashed hair with the fringe pushed to one side
-Stubble on the upper lip and around the chin
-Thin, slim, pointed nose
-With two twisted front teeth
-Wore a plain blue windcheater top

Investigating officer PC Paul Rose, from Southampton CID, said: “This is a quiet cul-de-sac off a busy main road.

“We would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the efit image, or anyone who has information about what took place.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who had been in this area before this incident and had noticed anyone acting suspiciously.”
