small amount of explosions could be heard as car parking  and security staff  stood taking selfie  whilst waiting for the fire service to attend.  Six appliances along with Police and ambulance  cordon off a large area of the west car park whilst crews tackled the blaze that also set fire to Portable lighting. The cause is still under investigation.  Hampshire Police are working with the fire service.  A Police helicopter was called into check no other vehicles were involved  in the car park as it spread.  Campers  where also evacuated whilst fire fighters  dealt with the incident. Many of the owner. are problem unaware that they have lost their vehicles. It’s not the first time that the festival has hit the head lines when Ellie Rowe, 18, died in 2015 after taking the class C drug ketamine at the BoomTown Fair. Than in 2014 Lisa Williamson was found dead in a toilet hanged. Event security initially said a fire in six vehicles had been put out but the ambulance service later said an estimated 80 vehicles had been destroyed in the blaze.
