Police are appealing for witnesses after a man hit his head on the road after being pushed over by another man in Gosport.The 69-year-old is currently being treated at the Queen Alexandra hospital after the incident.At about 5.50pm today, Sunday, September 25 the man was walking along Bury Road, Gosport with his wife who was in a wheelchair, when he had an altercation with another man, in his late 20s or early 30s, who had been on bicycle.

It ended when the other man pushed him and the victim fell backwards hitting his head on the road.The attacker cycled off towards Stoke Road. Detectives are appealing for witnesses.
