Police appeal after Trio attack and Rob man in Fratton

reports of police presence in shearer road in portsmouth following stabbing

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was robbed in the Fratton area of Portsmouth.

This is on the same street that a man was stabbed in the and a young girl was previously attacked by a hammer

The incident took place in Shearer Road sometime between 7.15pm and 8pm on Friday, October 14.

The 41-year-old male victim was punched and kicked by three other men. The victim received a fractured cheek bone and a cut to his hand for which he needed hospital treatment.

A mobile phone and £40 was taken from the man.

Detective Constable Sharon Lewry, of Fratton CID, said: “Were you in the Shearer Road area between 7pm and 8pm on Friday night? Did you see what happened?

“I would also like the people who came out of The Shearer Arms and the Shearer Road Shop to help the injured man to come forward. They may hold vital information about what happened.”
