A man is currrently on the roof of houses in Widley Road in Portsmouth.  Police have sealed off Both ends of Widley Road and officers in large numbers stand with riot shields to protect themselves as the man throws down roof tiles. Thousand of pounds worth of damage has already been caused to homes and parked cars in the street.

Police officers are continuing to try and speak to the man who has now been up on the roof for a number of hours. Three fighters have just ran down the street with a short extension ladder as it is believed that the man is on a flat roof shouting threats to hurt himself .
