Animal rescue specialists from Brokenhurst and Basingstoke were called to the scene on Park Road just before 1pm this afternoon (Friday) after the distressed owner raised the alarm. A local crew from Gosport attended but called on specialists to free the trapped animal. The animal was trapped under the partition of the box. A vet was also called to the scene.

A Traffic Warden closed down roads around the area keeping a watchful eye on anyone attempting to enter. She claimed that the animal may break free and injure people nearby.
