A Portsmouth woman has been warned just because she has been released on bail she may still face jail. Mother of one Alicia Savage 21 of Clarendon Street appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court before his honour judge Ian Pearson on Monday.

Savage admitted a charge of GBH. The charge relates to Barney Butwell, 26 who suffered a serious head injury that left him fighting for his life in the early hours on April 2.

Cops launched an attempted murder probe and Savage was arrested and questioned on charges of attempted murder by Police. The court heard the victim that Butwell spent six weeks in hospital in an induced coma and had to have fluid drained from his brain twice. Savage was warned by the judge that he was considering all options and that included custody. Savage has been bailed for social inquiry report until the 9th December 2016
