A man has been formally named by Police who died following a collision on the A33 on Wednesdya

Jonathon Whitfield, 21, from Cheriton, was involved in a collision with a white Ford Kuga on the A33 at Kings Worthy on November 23, at 5.28pm

Mr Whitfield was taken to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died from his injuries the next morning.

Mr Whitfied Stone said: “Jonathon was a much loved son who will be sadly missed by myself, Toby, his grandparents, his brothers, his sisters, his family and friends.”

Investigations into the collision are ongoing. The driver of the car, a 45-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford, was uninjured.
