Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision involving two cars and a pedestrian in Woking that happened on Friday evening, 9 December.

The collision happened at around 8.45pm on Monument Road off the junction of Arnold Road.

A blue Peugeot and a BMW were involved in a collision at the junction causing the Peugeot to mount the pavement and collide with a pedestrian passing by.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed for a number of hours while police carry out an investigation of the scene.

Both drivers involved in the collision are currently assisting police with enquiries.
