Micheal Casey a serving British Army Soldier appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates court to answer charges following the death of two teenager running who where mowed down by a Ford Focus that he was driving.
The serving Soldier is accused of Killing two Teenagers Stacey Burrows, 16, and Lucy Pygott, 17, who were hit as they crossed Queen’s Avenue on the evening of November 8th during a training run with Aldershot, Farnham and District Athletics Club They both died as a result of the injuries they suffered.

Casey has appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates Court this morning to answer charges no plea was entered The 24 year old serving soldier of St Pauls Road,Tottenham, London dressed in a blue suit made a brief appearance before the district judge he confirmed only his name and address to the court. He did not enter pleas to the two charges but the court was told he was likely to enter a plea when the case is next heard at Winchester Crown Court on April 13.
Casey was released on unconditional bail until then.

District Judge Gillibrand expressed his sympathy to relatives of the two victims who attended the short hearing.
He said: “These are dreadful cases, I would like to pass on my sympathy to you. I do not know the incident but I myself lost my brother in a road traffic collision.
“I know the trauma and the anguish you must be going through, I send you my sympathy.”
The family of the two girls sat in the packed court room supported by family liaison officers and friends.
