Officers investigating a road traffic collision on the M3 are appealing for information to help find the driver.

Andris Romanovs, 29, from Northamptonshire, is wanted by police following the collision on 25 December, last year.

The collision happened at 8.15am on the southbound carriageway, close to Winchester.

A silver Mercedes collided with the central reservation barrier.

Mr Romanovs was arrested following the incident on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit.

He was bailed until 16 February but has so far failed to return bail.

PC Victoria Squire said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries since this date to locate him but are now turning to the public for help to find him.

“We have serious concerns about his driving and are keen to ensure he poses no further risk on our roads.

“Have you seen him? Do you know where he is? Please get in touch if you do.”

He is described as being white, around 5ft 5ins tall and speaks with a Latvian accent. He has strong links with the Northamptonshire area and Winchester.
