This is the damage caused to a car after it crashed into railings on Portsmouth Road in Esher just before Midnight on Wednesday evening.
The Silver Ford was severely damaged after it went into the railings near the Scilly Isles roundabout.
The driver escaped serious injuries after the Ford Fiesta Ploughed into Black Iron Railing outside the posh pads.
Fire Crews from Painshill and Esher were both scrambled to the scene along with Police, Paramedics and Ambulance. Fire Crews made the vehicle and scene safe whilst Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance treated the driver the vehicle. It was first though that the vehicle had rolled over and ploughed into the iron fencing outside a block on flats. The vehicle was left severely damage and a total write off,the railing totally wrecked . Police closed the road for a number of hours to aid a clean up operation of spilt fluids from the damaged vehicle and for recovery. One person was taken to hospital by ambulance following the single vehicle collision
