Emergency services rushed to Winchester Railway after receiving reports of concern for a woman’s welfare last night.(Thursday 4th May 2017)

Fire Crews from Eastleigh fire service and Winchester station both arrived on scene shortly before 7.30pm.

The woman was brought down from the bridge, near Newburgh Street, at 8pm and taken to hospital.

In March, police negotiators spent several hours talking to the same woman down from the railway bridge near Winchester train station.
