Cyclist Remains Critical after Fratton Road Collision

A cyclist suffered a serious head injury following a collision in Portsmouth yesterday evening (1st June).

Officers were called to a two vehicle collision on the junction of Fawcett Road and the Fratton Bridge roundabout, Southsea, at 6.10pm yesterday.

The collision involved a male cyclist and a Citroen DS3.

The 55-year-old cyclist was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The male driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers investigating the exact circumstances of the collision would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw either vehicle prior to what happened.
