Police have revealed that two people have been arrested following the horrific collision on the A2 late on Sunday Evening. Emergency rushed to the scene just before midnight and were faced with a horrific scene following the collision between a Large Foreign registered Goods Vehicle and a private car that contained two people. Fire Crews from Kent Fire and rescue attended and used specialist cutting equipment for medics and Police to gain access to the vehicle
The A2 into Dover port remained closed for some nearly nine hours whilst Police and accident investigation works was carried out. A Kent Police Spokeswoman said :At 11.54pm on Sunday 2 July 2017 police were called to a report of a collision on the A2 Jubilee Way, in Dover involving a yellow lorry and a black Nissan QashQai.
The lorry was travelling down Jubilee Way towards the docks and was in a head-on collision with the car which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The road was closed for a number of hours and the collision is being investigated by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
A 36-year-old man and a 51-year-old man were arrested in connection with the incident.
