An Impatient driver is lucky to have escaped with their lives this evening after rammed three barriers on a busy level crossing in Egham Surrey. Pictures showing the aftermath after thousand of pounds worth of damage was caused to a busy level crossing on Vicarage Road Egham, Surrey after a driver rammed the barriers to get past seconds before a train passes the crossing.

Workers have spent the early evening replacement and making safe the crossing. Trains have started to run past the affected area at 5 mph. Police tape is still in place and workers are escort walkers across in between trains whilst emergency repairs are carried out The crossing is still closed to vehicle and is likely to remain until 11pm this evening. The words of one workers was whoever they are they are foolish and lucky to be alive.The reckless manoeuvre This selfish driver had callous neglect for the safety of themselves and others by ignoring the barriers and signals. Level crossing barriers and warning lights are there to help road users, pedestrians and railway users stay safe. Misusing crossings in this way could result in serious injury or worse.
