A major search for a missing 55 Year old Southampton woman continues after Police were alerted to her car that was found abandon in the Hedge End retail park this morning.
Hampshire Police Officers rushed Toll Bar Way just after 11.30am following a 999 call made by a member of the public who spotted Missing Elizabeth Wright’s Car. Volunteers search teams from Hampshire Search and Rescue have set up control base near to missing woman car and started to carry out a large search of the surrounding area. Specialist Water rescue officers from Hampshire Fire and Rescue
Stationed at Hightown have also attended the scene . Police have removed the missing woman’s black vehicle from the Marks & Spencer’s carpark as the search continues
Police have spent the morning searching both Mark and Spencers and Sainsburys. Specialist Police sniffer dogs and the National Airport has been also assisting in the search for the outstanding female. Concerned member of Mrs Wight family have been seen at the seen very distressed.
Police issued an appeal last on Thursday for anyone who has seen the missing Grandmother to contact them on 999 Elizabeth Wright, was last seen in Netley Abbey in a distresses state shortly after 5pm last night.
