The father of a 25-year-old festival goer, who was found dead yesterday morning, has stated the death was “a tragic accident”.
Holby City and former Coronation Street star John Michie, who originally gained fame in Taggart, has ruled out murder as the cause of his 25-year-old daughter Louella’s death. As reported on Spotted Portsmouth last night, police initially arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
Dorset Police were called to the festival just before 1am on Monday morning after friends expressed concerns for Louella after she vanished.
A 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder “to enable officers to conduct an interview under caution to help establish the full circumstances”, the force said.
However father, John, who plays Holby CEO Guy Self, believes her death was the result of an accident, and paid an emotional tribute to his “beautiful” daughter who had “touched so many your-pharmacies.com lives”.
He told reporters, “We’ve lost our angel. It’s not murder – they were friends. It was just a tragic mistake, a tragic accident.
“This was not a murder.
“She touched so many lives. She was so very positive, so bright, so out there. She had such energy. The tributes to her have been incredible.”
Dorset police had issued repeated warnings ahead of the festival regarding a suspected deadly tablet that contained “unknown chemicals””.
In a statement, Bestival said, “The team at Bestival are devastated to hear about this tragic news.
“We continue to support the police in their ongoing investigation and our thoughts and prayers are with all the woman’s family and friends.”
Enquiries are now underway to establish how she died. A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out to reveal the cause of death.
