Police are releasing an E-fit of a man we want to identify after a 28-year-old man was seriously assaulted by two men on Landguard Road

The incident happened between 11.20pm and 11.45pm on Thursday 28 September.

The man was walking home along Hill Lane and then turned onto Landguard Road. He was then approached and assaulted by two men.

The 28-year-old man suffered broken ribs as a result.

The men have been described as:

Man 1
Aged 20 – 30-years-old
Just under 6′
Above average build
Dark stubbly beard.
He was wearing a black coat with a hood up and had a large tattoo on his neck

Man 2
Aged 20 – 30-years-old
6′ 2”
Average build
Fair blond hair, swept over at the front but with a hood up over his head.
He was wearing blue jeans and a red, parker-style coat
We can now release an e-fit of one of the men described.

A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with this investigation on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He was released from custody but remains under investigation.
