Exculsive Portsmouth Singer hits prime time flagship show

A Portsmouth singer, already known to many local people for her fabulous voice, is set to become even more famous when her face is broadcast into living rooms throughout the nation.

Local vocalist Rachael Hawnt will take her stunning voice onto the BBC’s flagship Saturday night show, All Together Now, next week and is in with a chance of winning £50,000.

The show, hosted by Rob Beckett and Geri Halliwell, is a singing competition with a twist – a range of talented singers take to the stage, but waiting to judge each performance is ‘The 100’ – a unique panel of one hundred music experts and performers from across the UK, headed up by former Spice Girl, Geri Horner.

The aim of the competition is simple. Each act is hoping to get as many of the 100 singing along with their performance as they can, because the more of the 100 who join in, the higher the act scores. Each member of the 100 who joins in scores the act one point, but since the 100 are a broad mix of ages, music backgrounds, music interests and opinions, getting them all joining in and singing along is no easy task.

Every act is hoping they can score high enough to qualify for the series final and ultimately have the chance of winning the £50,000 grand prize.
Tune in to support Rachael this coming Saturday, BBC1 at 7.15pm
