slug and lettuce to take isle of wight by storm

After a massive cash injection the Slug and Lettuce is set to reopen on the 25th February

Set in the heart of the Isle of Wight, Slug and Lettuce will be launching its first venue on the island this February following an extensive investment of over £330,000.

Decorated in the signature Slug and Lettuce style with minimal yet elegant décor and a light, bright colour scheme this stylish venue will bring something different to the island be that day or night. A re-designed outside area and a brand-new bar will provide the perfect spaces for any ‘Get Together’ and the introduction of a cocktail masterclass station will act as the great start to any night. What’s more, a glamorous grand opening party will be taking place on Thursday 1st March from 6pm with a complimentary glass of fizz for all guests.

Throughout the week, the bar will be offering great value deals for its customers, including wine from £12 on ‘Wine Down Wednesdays’ and ‘Fizz Fridays’ where a bottle of Gancia Dry Prosecco will be just £13 or a Fizz Bowl sharer will be £17. If that’s not enough, with 2-for-1 cocktails all day every day, the new Isle of Wight bar will transform into a lively night time venue perfect to meet friends, dance and party the night away.

From Tipsy Tapas, a flight of three cocktails and the indulgent Baileys Iced Coffee Latte to the Giant Pornstar Martini, which is perfect for groups, the extensive cocktail list will leave no-one disappointed. For those counting the calories, Gancia Leggero Prosecco has 75% less sugar but all the taste. What’s more, customers will also be able to try the new Absolut Lime, the latest addition to the core range of flavours, providing a refreshing citrus taste.

The vast food menu will also entice every palette with the Small Plates section offering everything from BBQ Pulled Pork Steamed Buns to Cured Meat Antipasti and Falafel Bites. What’s better is that customers will be able to share them around at the cost of £17 for five dishes.* The Sweet & Petite segment offers a selection of sumptuous desserts including Cookie Crumb Profiteroles drizzled in chocolate flavoured sauce and the Clotted Cream Cheesecake Bites. Perfect for picking, at just £7 for three!

Catherine McGregor, General Manager at Slug and Lettuce Isle of Wight, said: “This is such an exciting time for Slug and Lettuce. Our brand-new site will not only offer a great backdrop for those wishing get together during the day, be that over a light bite, coffee or cocktails, it will also truly come alive on the weekend, offering one of the best nights out on the island. We can’t wait to show ourselves off this March!“
