A murder probe has been launched by Police who have cordoned off a bungalow on a quiet residential estate on the Isle of Wight.
Police have cordoned off the property on Green Lane Northwood on private Medham Farm Lane Easte. Forensic investigators in white suits have spent the morning examining the property this afternoon (Thursday).
Several specialist officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Sceientific Services department have donned white suits and have entered the address at Medham Village.
It is understood Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to the scene on Green Lane, at the junction of Warren Point, early this morning.
A Police officer is keeping guard whilst evidence is collated by the forensics teams who have been brought over from the mainland to assist Major Crime officers.
Shocked resident have confirmed that Police and Ambulance arrived in the road this morning. It is understood that a couple live at the property. Undertakers have removed a body from the property. Shocked neighbours described the couple as very friendly who kept themselves to themselves
Scene of crime officers have removed a number of samples and items wrapped in brown paper bags.
Hampshire Police have yet to comment
