Crimestoppers are offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of 51-year-old Henry Thomas Henderson, who is wanted in connection with a serious assault in Ryde back in 2016.
The attack happened between 23:30 and midnight on Tuesday 22nd November 2016, when a 51-year-old man was assaulted. He was admitted to hospital for injuries to his face and leg, and later released following treatment.
Henderson, from Downsview in Sandown, is described as white and 5ft 11 inches tall. He has a slim build, a Scottish accent and is believed to have short, straight dark brown hair.

It is believed that Henderson left the local area following the assault and travelled to Wilmslow, Cheshire in February 2017. Recent intelligence suggests that he may have now left the UK and a European Arrest Warrant has been applied for as part of efforts to locate him.

A reward of £1,000 was offered in May last year, but that has now been bumped up to £2,000 by Crimestoppers.

Annabelle Goodenough, South Eastern Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said:

“This attack has shocked the Isle of Wight community and left the victim requiring hospital treatment for his injuries. Everyone has a right to feel safe from crime and this type of assault is very distressing.

“Someone will know where Henry Henderson is and if that’s you, we urge you to contact our charity and tell us what you know. You will remain 100% anonymous. Always. Please help keep our community safe. Nobody will ever know you spoke to us.”
