Appeal for witnesses to collision

Detectives investigating a serious fail to stop collision on Prince Albert Road, NW8 are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them.
On Friday, 9 February, police, the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance were called at approximately 18:45hrs to reports of a car having hit a pedestrian who was crossing a zebra crossing on Prince Albert Road, NW8.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered serious injuries including a punctured lung and broken ribs and vertebra. He has since been discharged from hospital and is making a slow recovery.
The vehicle, which is believed to be a black BMW, possibly a 3 series, was travelling westbound when it attempted to overtake another vehicle just before the crossing.
PC Sukhvinder Rai, said: “Someone out there knows exactly what they have done and are living with the thought that they have seriously injured an innocent pedestrian.
“If a friend or family member has disclosed to you what happened, or you notice that their BMW has been damaged and the explanation seems a bit unusual, please contact police.”
