Wanted man named by Croydon detectives

Detectives investigating an altercation between a group of men armed with weapons have named a man they wish to speak with.

Officers would like to speak with 18-year-old Jedaiah Param (7.05.99) in connection with the fight which left five men requiring hospital.

Police were called at about 03:45hrs on 16 December 2017 to reports of a disturbance involving a number of people on Surrey Street in Croydon.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Five men were taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the incident.

A 23-year-old man was treated for stab wounds to the leg; a 24-year-old man, who was found in Wandle Road, was treated for stab injuries to the chest; a 20-year-old man found on Denmark Road was treated for a slash wound to the face.

A 23-year-old and a 19-year-old presented themselves at hospital where they were treated for a cut on the left hand and a stab wound to the right arm respectively.

They have all since been discharged from hospital.

The suspects used an array of weapons, and one suspect was armed with a pole. Those involved were all believed to be in their late teens to early 20s.

On Wednesday, 24 January, officers issued CCTV images of two men they wished to identify. Police now believe that ‘Suspect 2’ is Jedaiah Param.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and released under investigation.
