Isle of Wight Zoo charity abseil has been postponed due to High Winds
The all woman team of eleven were due abseil the Spinnaker Tower on Sunday afternoon to raise funds to provide safe sanctuary for ex-circus tigers at the Isle of Wight Zoo.
The group are still hoping to raise £6,000 towards The Wildheart Trust’s £50,000 Hearts for Tigers Appeal, which aims to rehome tigers currently in a rescue centre in Spain after they were voluntarily handed over by a circus.
The Zoo advised that they regret to say that this afternoon’s abseil has been postponed for safety reasons because of high winds. It will be rescheduled at the earliest opportunity and we will announce the new date as soon as we have it.
