Police are appealing for information after an incident that occurred at the St James’ Park end of Bellemoor Road in Shirley yesterday afternoon (Monday 30 April).

Officer were called at 3.36pm to a report of a man approaching a 10-year-old boy and behaving suspiciously.

The man ran off down Bellemoor Road in the direction of Hill Lane.

This was at the end of the school day and we believe lots of people were around that might be able to help us understand the exact circumstances of what happened.

The man has been described as:

• Black
• Beard
• Black t-shirt
• Blue skinny jeans
