One lane of the busy M20 motorway had to be closed between junction eight and junction nine on Sunday. The closure was put in place after Emergency services responded to a car fire that had caught fire and turned into a fireball.
The blaze is understood to have broken out on the coast-bound carriageway between the two junctions.
Smoke was reportedly seen coming from the red ford car and traffic slowed due to a lane closure.
Fire Crews put the blaze out using two hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus. No one is understood to have been hurt as a result of the fire.
