Police have closed the main road into Yarmouth this afternoon (Monday) following a three vehicle road traffic collision near Cranmore.

The incident has taken place on the A3054 Bouldnor Road between Shalfleet and Thorley.
The road has been closed at the Horse and Groom pub and traffic is being diverted via Thorley Villiage and Hill Place Lane.
The collision involves a black Volvo V60 ,a Blue Citroen C4 and A black Ford.

Officers from the Armed Roads Policing are currently dealing with the incident. Two ambulances
and a patient transport vehicle from Isle of Wight Ambulance service are on scene. An incident officer from the service has also been sent to the scene. No one is understood to have been trapped in any of the three vehicles. Paramedics are currently treating those involved. One of those involved in the collision is a young child who is being checked by paramedics. Local buses are effected due to the closure. Southern Vectis say that the Route 7 is running a
revised timetable and route. A School coach is also stuck within the closure but is understood not to be involved.
