manhunt launched after man makes off after rolling car on the isle of wight

Officers from the Armed Response Roads Policing unit on the Isle of Wight are tonight (Monday) hunting for the driver of a green Peugeot 106, that has ploughed into a road sign and than rolled. It is understood that the driver made off before the arrival of Police and other emergency services. Police remain at Winston Avenue in Binsted on the Island after a concerned resident called just after 9pm. The resident who asked not to be named said the driver and one other made off from the vehicle after it narrowly missing hitting a pedestrian. It is unclear if the pair have been hurt as a result of the vehicle rolling.
A Police dog has also been called to the incident in an attempt to track those who made off.
