Officers from Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was seriously injured following a collision in Sunbury-on-Thames earlier this evening (16 July).

The collision, involving the pedestrian and a Yamaha motorcycle, occurred around 6.20pm in Grovely Road near the junction with Oak Hall Drive.

The girl was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with serious injuries.

The motorcyclist was treated for minor injuries.

The road remains closed in both directions while emergency services, including the air ambulance, deal with the incident. It is expected to reopen shortly.
